I don't know if it matters, but my C: drive is on an SSD and the destination is a spinner. I was surprised to see that the clone was a different size than the source.

I just completed a clone of my C: drive in order to update my off-site backup so that I could recover from any sort of disaster. I will be the very first to admit that I do not understand how clones are created, but my very rudimentary understanding is that it does a sector by sector copy from the source drive to the destination.
